Accounting Programs
If you're new here, why not subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Do you use an accounting program? Until now, I have been using an Excel spreadsheet but I think I have outgrown it. Not only do I have my business but I have my Husband’s business and he gets 50+ checks a month plus invoices etc.
Any recommendations? Quickbooks, Peachtree, Quicken? It’s been a few years since I have worked with any of these programs so I don’t even know which one would work best.
Any accounting methods or books to share? This area is definitely one of my weaknesses. I hate all things math, accounting and such, bleck.
On another note, I don’t know what I would do without Akismet. It really is a life saver. I just deleted all the accumulated spam on this blog and not even five minutes later, there are six more.
Talking about finances, I am so proud of me. I cancelled a bunch of domain names that were due to renew that I know I will really never use. Having some focus really is nice for a change ;)

I would probably go with quickbooks. That might be because I use it only because I got a free copy of it! hehe.
Seriously I have heard a fair amount of negative things about peachtree - can’t say much about quicken. Of course it’s all hearsay as I try to avoid accounting work!
Hope all is well with you. Was a ton of fun seeing you and your buddies at pubcon boston 2006.
PS-if you don’t remember “legion” ask rae - she’ll know. hahah
Of course I remember you ;) Good to hear from you! I hope to meet up again at some point, it was a blast.
I did decide on Quickbooks, thanks for the advice.
