The Host Group - Down AGAIN

If you're new here, why not subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I am sick of dealing with hosting issues. I realize its part of the game in this industry, but I am over it.

This time its The Host Group. In fairness, this is the first time I have had an issue with them, but it has been down for days now. Over the weekend the site was down, then it came back up yesterday and went down again by night time before I could move it to a new host.

I am also quite irritated that the company hasn’t bothered to send out a notice to its customers. Of course my main site (forums included) is hosted with them. Moving to a new host is a pain, but necessary at this point. I just dread moving it because I am technology challenged (so sad, but so true).

Now I need the damn server to come up.

    I know what you mean.

Years ago I had a host that fried my server and had no backups (and I was paying for them to back everything up).

    What a joke.

I now have a couple of servers (one at Host Gator and one at Liquid Web) and I haven’t had a problem in years (knock on wood).

I use HostGator for some of my sites and I have been very pleased with them. I recently heard someone else mention Liquid Web, I am going to check them out. I like have my sites spread out.

    Thanks for stopping by!

I can only imagine how seriously frustrating that has to be! I hope you get it moved painlessly.

Down for DAYS? That’s a bit ridiculous. So what did your host reply you regarding the downtime?

Only use well known WebHosting Companies and do NOT register your domains with them (use a different registrar)! Also, spreading out your Sites and Domains is a good tactic if you have an online business and your income depends on them.
