What does your Desk Look Like?

Ha, do we see a pattern here?! I couldn’t help but post this cartoon when I saw it. I swear he is making them just for me ;) I don’t even have a “desk” that I use right now. I have my laptop and end up leaving a paper/book trail all over the house.
Speaking of books - when doing my tax paperwork I realized just how much I spent on books/magazines and it was insane. Absolutely insane. And yet that doesn’t stop me frombuying more…

Procrastination
I have been making progress (good progress even) on my to-do-list - but this is still how I am feeling at the moment… I can’t even tell you how this one little comic describes one specific project I need to do and keep putting off… ;)

List Making
I am no stranger to list making, in fact I make the lists, just fine but following through with the list - that my friend is another story entirely. I have a ton of new goals and ideas for the New Year and I have started implementing some of them. Below I am including some of my basic goals since I don’t have an hour to sit here and type them all ;)
* Read more books and e-books. I have a ton of them on my computer and desk that need reading.
* I have been mentioning it for months and procrastinating it for months - get my main site switched over to the new template. Add a blog, switch the newsletter service - the whole shabang.
* Maintain all blogs with at least one post per day
* Finish my e-book. Wait, let me be honest - “finish” implies it is near done and that is not the case. It needs a lot more work.
* Blog here on Learning Geek more
I will be blogging about my goals and to-do-lists in more detail as I tackle them. I have some work that I need to get done before the weekend when I am taking time off to be with my Parents.
I hope everyone’s year is off to a good start. In the near future I will be posting a *good* interview with someone you won’t want to miss but I can’t give details just yet… stay tuned ;)
And the Dumb Award Goes too…
Why, me of course.
I was accepted into YPN months ago but never really did anything with it. I know shame on me, the Yahoo! people working the booth laughed at me in Boston. So anyway, I have been *good* the past couple of weeks working on my projects both new and existing. One of my projects was to finally get YPN up on one of my sites. Check!
However, I deleted the channels for this particular site in Adsense. Don’t ask why because I don’t have a why because it was dumb. I could claim it’s because I work until 4am and I was extremely tired but it still boils down to d.u.m.b. Now I can’t do any comparisons.
You can stop laughing now.
