The IT Girl’s Guide to Blogging with Moxie
If you're new here, why not subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
While blogging isn’t “new” to me, I believe you can never learn too much, so I had to get a copy of Blogging with Moxie and I am glad I did.
I very much enjoyed The IT Girl’s Guide to Blogging with Moxie. In fact, I picked up quite a few helpful tips that are now on my to-do-list.
I definitely recommend all newbie bloggers get a copy ASAP! Kathy and Joelle take you by the hand through the whole schabang- from picking a blogging platform to RSS to Podcasts to design and everything else you can imagine needing to know.
I especially love that the book was not overly techie, being that I am techie challenged and all. It was fun to read with heaps of helpful references to help new bloggers get started. That’s not to say that old time bloggers can’t learn a thing or two ;)
I personally loved all the drink recipes through out the book, definitely a fun twist!
Books, Books & More Books
My book addiction has been out of control this week. I have been to Barnes & Noble twice three times in the past five days. And trust me when I tell you, I *don’t* need more books. I won’t even mention the magazines…
A few of the many books now cluttering my work area include:
The Writer’s Way - Realize your Creative Potential and become a Successful Author.
Line by Line - How to Improve your Own Writing.
Painless Algebra - I hate Algebra, always have. But, I have a 15-year-old who needs homework help. At only 32, I have no memory, the future is looking bright ;)
Time Management for the Creative Person:
I just ordered this book and I am hoping it will be able to help me and my procrastinating ways - if there is help that is ;) If it can help me sort out my schedule and be more productive, I will be a happy person.
I work everyday but I know I could be working more productively and sensibily. Between my own websites and blogs, freelancing work and running my Husband’s offline business I am slightly overwhelmed. And we won’t even mention all the family/house stuff.
Winning Results with Google Adwords
Winning Results with Google AdWords is one of the many books, in one of my many piles. So far I have made it through chapter one ;)
I also have writing books and marketing books and niche books. Well you get the idea, I have a book addiction but now I need to actually make the time to READ them! It doesn’t help that Barnes and Noble is literally less then a mile from my house…
Seriously though, I feel like I am left in stone ages. I get the concept and how it works but it still manages to scare me when I think about using it.
