PopShops & Blogging with Moxie
If you're new here, why not subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I finally got around to using PopShops and I am in LOVE. I bookmarked it when Belle mentioned it on her internet marketing blog, but I just got around to actually using it.
I have built pages for two sites and so far, so good. They have a freebie option, but I signed up for the Pro Account for only $5 a month. Have I mentioned how much I love it and how easy it is to use? Set up is easy peasy - you include your affiliate IDs for popular merchants such as Linkshare, Share-A-Sale etc, then you search/pick products, style the pages and upload. If you haven’t used PopShops yet, give it a test drive with the Freebie option. I will write a more in depth review after using it some more.
Today while ordering some Christmas gifts from Amazon, I finally ordered myself a copy of The IT Girl’s Guide to Blogging with Moxie.
I tried to get a copy at Barnes & Noble the other day, but they were all sold out. I have been a long time reader of Joelle’s blog and I can’t wait until the book arrives!
I have five other books coming in the shipment - as if I need more to read ;) Which of course is part of my new goals - read more and do more with all the stuff on my hard drive. It’s out of control. What is the point of having all of this stuff if I never utilize it?
2008 is going to be a good AND busy year.
BANS (Build a Niche Store)
I have been *wanting* to buy BANS (an automated system for building a complete website around Ebay), but have decided to wait until after I get more Christmas shopping done.
I had domains to renew and other things to get out of the way as well, so it felt like the right thing to do. It is killing me to wait.. Not that I am known for being impatient or anything ;)
My friend, Shannon, just started using BANS and she is blogging about it on her blog. Today she got through installation and set up. It looks easy enough to use and we all know how I am a sucker for easy, considering I am technology challenged in the worst of ways.
I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions if you are already using it!
Thank You Crazy Bargains & Share-A-Sale
[Rant] I usually try and keep this blog about business, unlike the rants I post on my personal blog. That being said, I am going to share a rant, but it does involve business too.
I am slightly agitated with my Husband today. I was out in the garage searching for some Christmas stuff today when I found a box with my name on it. The box was from Share-A-Sale and Crazy Bargains from back in SEPTEMBER! September people! Apparently he put it there and claims he forgot. Whatever. [/End of Rant]
Anyway, on to the good stuff inside the box - a mouse pad and t-shirt from Share-A-Sale and a pair of adorable doggie slippers from Crazy Bargains that you see in this post. They are so soft and comfy and I could have been using them for the past few months..
The Man tried to say I should have noticed the box. To which I replied - the garage is his domain and I *try* to stay out of it. Just as he stays away from my workspace and laptop. All his fault, no passing the buck on this one ;)
In other news - I have been getting up tons and tons of affiliate links on several blogs. I have made a dent but my to-do-list is still a mile long. Soooooo much do finish before January, Ackkkk.
PLR Content, Niche Content Stores & More…
Where does the time go? I can’t believe that this year is almost over already. I have accomplished much of what I wanted this year and now I am feeling urgency to do more before January hits.
I have been sorting out my PLR content so I can see what can be used and where. I have files on my hardrive, back up cd’s and a thumb drive. I find working with PLR content so much easier than writing from scratch. It has been wasting away on my computer for far too long, time to start using it all!
I have many projects going on at once, but that is the only way I can work. I get bored easy and need several sites to work on. Some say its crazy and maybe it is, but it works for me. Last week I got up two new blogs that have been on my to-do-list forever. I have two more to get up and two Niche Content Stores and then I am taking a break from creating anything *new.*
I have also been updating blogs and adding new content/affiliate products in between. I have been busy, busy, busy and yet I somehow feel like nothing is getting done. Before you say to write it down - I want to assure you your head would spin if you saw all my to-do-lists - I do write it down. That doesn’t mean however, that it gets done. Sigh.
In the middle of building and updating I dusted off an e-book in my main niche that I started *years* ago. I am determined to get it released for the New Year. It’s about time. Ok, this is turning into a rant of sorts, rather than being helpful so I will end here ;)
